The Feed in Tariff is now set at 21 pence per kilowatt hour unit for a 4kWp system. On a south facing roof free from obstructions, this will return around £850 per annum and provide free electricity. 

The Feed in Tariff is index linked, not liable for income tax, and is payable for 25 years. As a result, your return on investment is likely to be around 10% ROI per annum.

 Note: from April 1st you will be required to produce an Energy Performance Certificate of rating D or above for your property in order to receive the maximum tariff. ElectrAssure Solar can arrange for an  EPC to be carried out by an independent energy assessor.

 DECC considers moving FiT cut deadline

The next round of feed-in tariff cuts could be delayed by up to one month as a result of low solar installation figures. This could change the results of the latest consultation, which was due to map out the expected tariff rates from July 1.
